Fundraising for Baca
Carsington 10km
Baca charity supports young people who have been forced to flee their home country, because of war, persecution, or trafficking. It provides a safe home, education and care that enables them to fulfil their potential and become thriving members of the community. Since starting its work Baca has looked after nearly 500 child refugees from 17 different countries. Everyone in the charity - staff and volunteers - are dedicated to supporting, encouraging and helping these young people.
I have been working with them as a volunteer for a couple of years, befriending, helping with career advice and developing language and communication skills.

About this event
Based at the Carsington Water reservoir in Derbyshire, the race follows an undulating route on trail paths. The half marathon starts off with an out and back before you’ll complete one full loop of the gorgeous reservoir. The 10k is an almost full loop of the reservoir. This local race will display fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
